These case studies trace the development of a practice concerned with a recurring question: how do consequential ideas move from institutional ambition and narrative into experiences people can encounter, understand and believe in?

Earlier engagements were developed through what I then described as Public Narrative & Experience Architecture—an important precursor to the broader creative-strategic practice that has since evolved into
At Threshold.

The language has evolved. The underlying inquiry remains.

Many engagements remain in active stewardship and are shared here only in ways that honour institutional trust and confidentiality.

These are real institutional situations encountered through consulting work, executive education, case-based learning and professional experience. I am grateful to the institutions and faculty for their sponsorship, and to fellow participants whose questions and perspectives contributed to my learning.

These cases began as real-case explorations and field work developed through an earlier iteration of my practice, using what I then called the Public Narrative & Experience Architecture (PNEA) lens. They have since been revisited and re-engaged with to pressure-test At Threshold’s evolving thinking and practice.

Institutional, campaign and stakeholder details have been intentionally generalized to protect confidentiality and honour their trust.
